In business, at the same location, for more than 65 years, Briggs Garden Center is family-owned & operated spanning more than three generations!
For 30 years, the business was known to locals as Briggs Landscaping, one of the largest landscape companies in Western North Carolina. Briggs has landscaped more schools in Buncombe County (Ashevlle), spent 3 years landscaping & hydro-seeding the , Connestee Falls development, and performed State and/or Federal landscaping jobs in both North & South Carolina. Briggs is also known for landscaping many housing developments in the local area and finally opened the Garden Center in the late 70s.
Every plant, bush, tree, basket, and soil is hand-selected by Kathy (left), primarily from “Mom & Pop” shops, nurseries, and greenhouses. With such an extensive background in the gardening business, that means Briggs Garden Center has the very best selection of annuals, perennials, vegetables, hanging baskets, herbs, potted plants, potting soil, and potting mix in the area. Venture inside the shop and you’ll find even more items from which to choose, including bird bath stands, gazing balls, and seeds.
